I am so sick. I’m not hungry no food sounds or smells good. I am nauseous 24/7 and throwing up at night. B6 and unisom isn’t helping. I don’t know what else to do. I know I need to eat but I’m so tired of feeling this way.

@megan123102,
okay so maybe there is some merit to it - I hope this is a good sign for us both!

i was sick to my stomach all day yesterday for the first time. Get some electrolytes, powerade makes popsicles and pedialyte does too.

@Abuhhgg2002,
question on the popsicles, do you make them yourself with the electrolyte drinks so you can purchase electrolyte popsicles?

Is this your first pregnancy or have you been through it before?

Yes this is my first pregnancy and man I feel terrible but I went to CVS and grabbed some Dramamine and it has helped with the sick feeling. It doesn’t take it completely away but makes it to where I can shower and function a bit better.

@Juneyjewel,
I bought some goodies off of Amazon to help but they only help for maybe an hour or so.

My coworker had severe nausea and vomiting during her pregnancies. I’d call your OBGYN and explain how bad it is and that unisom/b6 isn’t helping. They’ll get you on something stronger.

Both of my pregnancies were like this! I have two girls 5 & 2. With the first I powered through. With the second I had a toddler to take care of not just myself and was like I cannot be pulling over to throw up every time I get in the car to take my child somewhere and I need to be able to function to take care of her so I finally asked for help, I wish I’d done it sooner! I couldn’t even hardly keep water down at that point. Took rx meds the rest of the second pregnancy and it wasn’t a fool proof thing .. still had my moments but omg I could function again, game changer! And she’s perfect now, didn’t harm her one bit, no shame in asking for the meds! I plan to at my very first prenatal appointment if not sooner just so I have them for when it’ll likely happen again!

sometimes peppermint tea helps... but honestly I also just feel awful all the time. my husband managed to find a prescription for ondansetron that isn't expired yet from this past year, which is what I took with my last pregnancy and the only way I could make it through the work day

Liquid seems to be the only thing I can stomach throughout the day so I’ve been drinking a lot of fruit smoothies since some of my favorite foods I’ve now had huge aversions to

You do not need to suffer! Contact your OB by either calling the office or sending a message on the patient portal. I was having severe anxiety from nausea last week and am so glad I sent my OB a message and I was prescribed generic Diclegis. It’s been working pretty well

@firsttimemomchicago,
I just started taking it on Saturday and it has helped so much. I was throwing up a few times a day and now I haven’t thrown up since.., totally helped. So happy I asked. I have been so miserable, and it’s nice to have some relief. I definitely feel the worst in the morning still, but gets a little better as the day goes on. Unisom and b6 didn’t do crap for me haha
